Who we are

The Indian Jewellery Store is a B2B procurement platform for jewellery brands. We give brands access to India's verified manufacturer network — certified catalogues, transparent pricing, and consistent quality across lab grown diamonds, 925 silver, demi fine, and gemstone jewellery.

We are built by DVAB Labs, a technology company incorporated in Maharashtra. Our work is infrastructure — the systems that make manufacturer-to-brand trade transparent, verified, and fast.

Why we started

India produces some of the finest jewellery in the world. The manufacturers are skilled. The designs are strong. The market is enormous.

Yet a brand in Bengaluru trying to source lab grown diamond jewellery from a manufacturer in Surat still has to do it over WhatsApp — negotiate without price transparency, and trust quality to word of mouth.

We saw the same problem on the manufacturer side. Factories running orders on spreadsheets, inventory tracked by hand, and no way to know whether a production run would be profitable until after it shipped.

We started building what was missing. Not a marketplace. Not another middleman. Infrastructure — the kind that makes manufacturer-to-brand trade transparent, verified, and fast.

The problem we're solving

India's jewellery market is worth over $100 billion. More than 50,000 manufacturers operate across Mumbai, Surat, and Jaipur. Thousands of brands are actively sourcing. Yet the transaction between a brand and a manufacturer still happens over WhatsApp, with no price transparency, no quality guarantee, and no paper trail.

For brands: finding the right manufacturer takes weeks of cold outreach. Comparing quality across suppliers is guesswork. Certifications are inconsistent. MOQs are rigid. And when something goes wrong, there is no recourse.

For manufacturers: orders come in through WhatsApp and get tracked in spreadsheets. Inventory is reconciled manually. Production is scheduled by feel. There is no system. There is no data. Factories that make world-class jewellery are running on tools from twenty years ago.

Both sides of the trade are ready for something better.

What we're building

Our first product is The Indian Jewellery Store — a B2B procurement platform for jewellery brands. Brands browse certified catalogues across lab grown diamonds, 925 silver, demi fine, and gemstone jewellery. They can order from the catalogue, customise existing designs, or send their own designs for manufacturing. Every order comes with GIA or IGI certification, hallmarking where applicable, two-factor quality verification, and insured shipping.

The second product is Facman AI — factory management software for jewellery manufacturers. Inventory tracking, order management, production planning, and quality control in one platform. Built specifically for how jewellery factories actually work.

Together, they form the infrastructure layer that connects both sides of India's jewellery trade.

What we stand for

These are not aspirations. They are the principles we use to make decisions — about what to build, how to build it, and who we build it for.

  • Transparency over opacity. Every price has a breakdown. Every certification is verifiable. Every timeline is trackable. We do not hide behind industry norms — we set new ones.
  • Reliability over features. We would rather have three things that work perfectly than ten things that half-work. Trust is built through consistency, not through a long features list.
  • Solve for users first. If we solve real problems for brands and manufacturers, revenue follows. If we optimise for revenue first, we become just another margin-stacking middleman.
  • Infrastructure, not intermediary. We are not here to sit between manufacturers and brands and take a cut. We are here to build the systems that make direct trade possible at scale.
  • Honest about where we are. We are a young company, building in one of India's oldest industries. We are transparent about that. The work speaks for itself.
  • Preserve craftsmanship, add technology. India's jewellery manufacturers have built skills over generations. We are not here to replace that. We are here to give it the infrastructure it deserves.

Our founders

Vanshika Dodia — Chief Executive Officer

Vanshika leads business strategy and operations. Before founding the company, she co-founded Echelon Rise Partners in New Delhi, a B2B strategy firm where she led operations, financial research, and market analysis. She holds a BS in Data Science from MIT World Peace University, a Gemstone Masterclass certification from the Swiss Gemmological Institute Basel, and an Equity Markets Investor Certification from SEBI and NISM.

Atharva Badkas — Chief Product Officer

Atharva leads product and technology. He holds a BS in Data Science from IIT Madras and a major in Artificial Intelligence from IIT Ropar. Before founding the company, he worked as a Data Scientist at Soaire in computer vision and cloud infrastructure, and led early-stage startup development at InFED, IIM Nagpur. He built a computer vision model with 98% accuracy in metal and glass detection, and deployed a fully automated inventory management solution for FMCG brands.
